From it's humble beginnings in the cold winter of 1990 to
today, WhipStaff Ranch continues to maintain our tradition of
preserving heritage breeds of livestock and poultry.  We are
deeply concerned with the loss of important genetics in
livestock, and have dedicated much of our ranch to preserving
these beautiful and useful creatures.

We work as a family to create one of a kind handcrafted items.
You'll find our Country Store chock full of down home honest
country workmanship!  From Afghans to Embroidery, Quilts to
traditional Native American crafts you'll find the perfect gift for
a loved one- or yourself!

WhipStaff Rescue is a multi species animal rescue program
housed here on our ranch and throughout a network of caring
foster homes.  We find homes for animals that ordinarily would
be killed.   Animals available for adoption are screened for
temperament, healthy and socialized. We act as the main hub of
the rescue, and our network of foster homes work hard to
make a better life for animals in the Rescue's care.

WhipStaff Ranch and Rescue is a NON PROFIT 501c3
organization dedicated to rare breed preservation and the
betterment of companion animals in our community.
Donations are fully tax deductible.

Our property is maintained for the comfort and security
of our animals.  Animals are seen by appointment only.
Due to biosecurity visitors will be restricted from certain
areas of the ranch to keep our livestock and poultry safe.

And the question everyone asks... why is your farm
named WhipStaff Ranch?
WhipStaff Ranch was named after 2 things.  First, the haunted mansion
on Casper the Friendly Ghost was named Whipstaff Manor.  If you saw
our house when we first moved in- you'd know why we chose the
name.  Secondly, anyone that has visited our ranch knows that we are
pirates and fly our colors with pride.  A Whipstaff is a long pole that
connects the tiller to the wheel on a deep hulled sailing vessel.  This pole
turns the tiller to change the ship's tack.  We aim to be a tool to change
the thinking of people to create a humane community.
