What is a FOREVER Home?
We live in a disposable society. The toaster breaks, throw it away and buy a new one.
Over half of all marriages end in divorce. Americans produce more trash per person than any
other industrial country. And sadly we produce more unwanted pets than most countries too.
To us, this is sickening.
We place animals in FOREVER homes. This means literally that every animal we
take in will have a home for life. Each home we select to be blessed with one of our
throwaways has signed a promise to keep the animal they adopt from us. Through better or
worse, sickness and health, richer or poorer. IF the prospective owner cannot keep the
animal for any reason- through fault of no fault of the animal- it is to be returned to
WhipStaff Rescue for placement.
Not dropped off on the side of the road to die.
Not abandoned at a cold, impersonal shelter where they are given a number and wait their
turn to die.
Not left in the woods to fend for themselves, to die of starvation or disease.
Not abandoned to be tortured by people.
Never will one of our animals have a day of untreated sickness, nor will it feel the pangs of
hunger in it's belly. Never again will it be abused as it once did. And if an animal is found to
not be placeable in a home setting, we will hold it and love it and help it on its journey back to
our Creator.
This is a vow we make, and one we expect our adoptors to make as well.
