Snicker's Lost Souls Fund
Did you know? Purple dye was made from the blood of horses.  It was expensive and
only royalty could afford to wear purple clothes.  Today, the purple color you see here
is a symbol of our fight to end horse slaughter forever.

Snickers lost his 4 year battle with West Nile Virus on November 3rd, 2006.  He was laid to
rest in the shade of the poplar trees that to this day shake with the memory of his hoofbeats.
Snickers was on his way to an auction when board member Carolyn offered to take him and
give him a lifelong home.  He was with her for a mere 7 years but will live forever in her
heart.

In the honor of such greatness, a fund has been started to purchase horses from the auction
or feedlot.  These horses will then be rehabilitated and trained, and found loving forever
homes where they will NEVER be abandoned at an auction and sold for meat.  The adoption
fee will then go back into Snicker's Lost Souls Fund to help save more horses.

Horses are friends, not food.  We don't eat our dogs and cats, why should we eat our horses?
Help us end save lost souls from the brutal and cruel transportation and killing.

Will you help us save a
lost soul?
Snickers was a
beloved friend.  He
was a massive soul
of a horse.  When
he ran, the skies
opened and the
sound of Thor's
hammer rang out
thunderbolts that
could be felt
shaking the ground.
